Music from the heart

Diane Burns, a native Californian, has been singing most of her life. She studied piano starting at age seven then taught herself to play the guitar at fifteen. As a teenager growing up in the sixties, she was deeply influenced by the folk music and songs for peace and change, most prevalent during the times.
Diane has lived most of her life in Fremont California and has sung professionally for over 25 years, performing for a variety of events including wedding, memorials, parties, restaurants and clubs.
"I continue to write songs about the human experience as it speaks to me from my heart and through others. I have a passion for living and a strong conviction for peace in my world. I endeavor to come from a place of tolerance and acceptance. If peace and love and harmony is what I want to see, the plain and simple truth of it, It's gotta start with me."

In 1998 Diane, who had been performing primarily as a solo act, teamed up with Irish born and then Half Moon Bay resident, Mo Robinson. Mo, a very accomplished musician and songwriter himself, had also been performing for years on his own. The combination of the two brought together a delightful blend of two complimentary styles of singing and playing.
In April, 2001, "Easy Avenue" was released. This CD is a collaboration of original material written and performed by Diane and Mo.
